Kamchatka is a huge area with a small number of residents and a rudimentary transportation network, which makes it a wild and attractive land. There are several areas for skitouring and backcountry skiing, all relatively close to roads and services, and here is detailed description of them: Skitouring areas of Kamchatka.

We start on Avachinsky pass, staying in mountain hut and skitouring on the slopes of Avachinsky and Koryaksky volcanoes and after three days of skiing on the pass we move to the south, to the Paratunka river valley, where we spend two days enjoying birch tree powder skiing and relaxing in hot springs.
